Join us in making a lasting impact at Wheels for Paws: Luke's Legacy Fundraiser! The aim of our event is to raise $20,000 to provide Luke, a courageous dog who tragically lost his front two legs due to a vet's negligence after being hit by a car, with a custom wheelchair. Additionally, we plan to donate the remaining funds to GWARP Rescue, a local organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating animals in need! We are excited to bring the community together for an evening filled with raffles, special guests, music, food, drinks, and more!

Gift Basket Raffle Details
The gift basket raffle (also known as a tricky tray, penny social, and/or brown bag auction) is the perfect combination of a silent auction and a traditional raffle.
Upon entering the event, participants can buy as many basket tickets as they'd like. Basket raffle tickets are not available for pre-sale. After purchasing tickets on-site, you'll have 2 hours to scope out all available baskets and prizes.
Each basket will be displayed with a list of what's inside. Alongside each basket will be its corresponding container. As opposed to bidding like you would in a traditional auction, attendees will drop one or more tickets into the basket's container to increase your chance of winning it.
We'll make several announcements before closing the window for participants to drop tickets before we begin drawing one winning ticket per basket. The winner has to be present to claim their prize. We'll call each ticket three times; and if the winner does not identify themselves and show proof of their winning ticket, the ticket will be disqualified and we'll draw another ticket from the basket's container. Winners will walk out of the event with their items in hand!
Luke's journey began as a stray pup in Azerbaijan, a place where animal rights are scarce. After he was hit by a car and left with broken legs, and due to the neglect of a vet, who unnecessarily amputated his legs, Luke found hope at GWARP shelter. With their dedicated care, he conquered infections and surgeries, emerging stronger than ever. Despite his physical challenges, Luke's spirit shines brightly, radiating happiness and reminding us all of the boundless joy that comes from living in the present moment.
